Cold

I'm really feeling the cold today for some reason. I don't think that it's necessarily colder, just that I'm feeling it.

It's been a funny sort of bitty day. We had a delivery this morning. Morrisons were running a '8 for £10' deal that finished today and I took advantage as much as I could. There weren't many things on it that I fancied, but there were some good savings and there was a particular brand of frozen chips/fries/potato thingies that DH and bear love, so I got a few bits in. I took the opportunity to dump some stuff that had been lurking for a while. There were some flavoured bits of chicken that had been two for the price of one. We'd had the first and it had been vile and I had been putting off the second for easily over a year. I decided that it may as well go, along with some 'veg and grain' mixes that nobody liked and I couldn't eat because they had gluten in them.

DH removed the 'n' key and dug out a handful of fluff. Things have settled down now, though I'll keep an eye out and I may need to attack other keys. He threw the fluff out before I could take a picture, but it was a substantial amount.

He also kindly brought down a huge bag of blankets.

Some are just elderly but some are ones that I've knitted. I've been thinking of putting them on Etsy but I may stick to eBay. Etsy seems quite complicated to set up and I would rather spend my time on other things at the moment.

Writing stuff - one of the other things I want to spend time on is writing. I'd be grateful for any opinions on this. I'm finding myself thinking how to plot out Lady Freydis' Book of Coffee and the fun that I could have with it. If I did actually manage to pull something like that together, should I republish Tales of the White Hart. It's been blogged, unblogged, published, unpublished and is currently live on Royal Road. I'm of a mind to leave it where it is, but I'd welcome opinions as Lady Freyd's Book of Coffee might look a little strange on it's own. Though I could add Mrs Tuesday's Book of Housekeeping, and I daresay I could think of a few other things.

And speaking of the White Hart - today's episode is here

Hugs and good health to all.

  1. It being cold and feeling cold are two different things, aren't they? Maybe wrap up in some of those blankets and that would help you feel warmer?

    1. Sometimes I wrap up in blankets because psychologically I feel warmer. Bundling up in shawls and throws is remarkably cosy for the soul.

  2. There's a certain temperature that just makes me feel cold. I always seem to be snuggling under blankets these days!
Etsy isn't too bad to set up but it does take a little bit of getting used to. I must admit that I find Ebay easier. I feel as though Etsy takes a while for sales to start.

  3. It was bitterly cold yesterday and I too was feeling decidedly chilly. I'll read the latest instalment this afternoon with a cup of coffee.
