I Drove Again!

I drove the new car for the second time, and I was so nervous the whole journey. It's annoying, because there was like a cold knot in my chest for the entire time, which there didn't need to be. Regardless, I went out late because I'm still getting used to the clutch, and there are junctions and roundabouts around here where you need to move out with speed when you get the chance, because there aren't many chances during normal traffic. And while I was slow away from some traffic lights, I was fine and I'm getting the hang of it.

Tesco is wonderfully empty around 9.30pm. This was just as well as the new car is a lot bigger than Red and more than fills a parking bay.

I resisted buying their yarn. There wasn't much and it seemed overpriced for the quality.

Still, I bought several rather nice candles (I'll have to get pics) and some gluten free cereal as a treat, and spent over £60. The candles are an extravagance, but one that we would have indulged in anyway as both DH and I love candles. And I now have a coupon for 8p per litre off petrol, which is lucky as the petrol warning light came on as I approached our house.

I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with the car yet, but I'm sure that I'll get there.

Hugs and good health to all.

  1. Well done driving your new car. The more you drive it, the more familiar you'll become with it and the easier it will be.

  2. That yarn doesn't look too enticing to me either...

    1. I have finally found a yarn that even I won't impulse buy.

  3. I must admit, I get a bit nervous when I have to drive something different. Hopefully, it will get easier each time you drive it.
