I Didn't Buy a Chainsaw

There are a lot of things that I didn't buy today when I called in to Aldi, but I'm proudest of the chainsaw. To be fair, I walked out with more crisps than I planned, but I had the wipes that I wanted for the car. They have small packs that are ideal for slipping into the glove compartment and aren't too expensive. And I saw the chainsaw, right next to the heat weedkiller, and I resisted temptation.

This is a pic from last September and may explain why a chainsaw is so tempting.

Apart from that, it's been so quiet here. I'll have to get cracking and have good things to report.

Hugs and good health to all.

    1. You are an influence on me - I don't know whether it's a bad influence or a good influence but it's a fun influence!

If there were any good crisps around here I wouldn't be able to resist them either!

  4. I want a chainsaw! One time, many years ago, I was trying to cut down a rather large dead tree in my back yard with a handsaw as that was all I had and one of my neighbors offered me the loan of his chain saw and, oh, how I loved using it! These days, M uses his chain saw to trim the tree branches I want taken down, but, having one of my own could be so useful! Maybe I should ask for one for my birthday!

    1. I think a chainsaw would be a very reasonable request for a birthday!

    2. I can report that I had one of those baby chainsaws for my birthday last year and I love it! We have used it way more than I expected, it has been really helpful for things that are too big for the loppers. And it doesn’t sound as scary if you call it a baby chainsaw - almost cute, in fact!
