I wasn't really cold cold, but I'm so glad to have radiators back.
The very nice man turned up at 7.30am. He had told me 8am and I was still in the middle of my breakfast when he knocked. I hadn't cleared access to a cupboard and thought that I'd be able to do that while he got started, but apparently he needed to start there. I would have been further in front, but I had a two hour call with my brother last night immediately followed by a call with bear for an hour and a half.
I was so flattened that I decided to abandon the writing - especially since half the doors and windows in the house were open for various reasons and I write in a room that was in the way for most of the comings and goings, so I retreated out of the way.
As I was clearing access to the cupboard, I found some yarn. I don't know if you remember the fluffy short blanket that I was wearing like a deep scarf, but I caught the edge and the cast on edge sort of unravelled.
I apologise for the poor quality of the pic. I should have unravelled it and reknitted the thing. I couldn't face it. Besides, the yarn is lovely and warm and snuggly, and definitely could be worse to knit with, but any loose strands tangle like they're possessed. I threw it out. Today I regretted it because I found more of the yarn and together it would have made a lovely, large blanket. Instead I started another stole type type thing and got quite a bit knitted.
The poor lad didn't leave til 7.30pm as there was a problem sorting out some of the pipes. And he's back tomorrow at allegedly 8am.
I am so tired, gently warming up as I feel like I'm thawing (even though it wasn't really that cold) and feeling particularly limp. I hope to catch up properly tomorrow.
Hugs and good health to all.
