Bear didn't get into Oxford. He doesn't want to talk about it and I'm respecting that, especially as he isn't slacking but working on some weird geometrical homework. He has offers from other universities, so as long as he keeps up his grades, he'll be fine.
I feel quite subdued. My sleep continues erratic, but it could be worse. I felt awake enough to drive (I'm very cautious) and dropped off some donations at a hospice charity shop and then called into Tesco. My picture of the day was of the card stands.
I took it because it fit in with the story for the White Hart that I wrote first thing this morning.
Writing stuff - and speaking of the White Hart, the latest instalment is here.
Hugs and good health to all.
I'm sorry bear didn't get into Oxford, but, I'm sure he'll be quite happy at whichever university he goes to. I hope you have a lovely day and get plenty of sleep, tonight.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm sure bear will be fine. And I did have a good sleep, so thank you!
DeleteI'm sure it's a disappointment but well done for Bear trying and getting that far. I'm sure he'll do well where he does end up and will have lots of university adventures!
ReplyDeleteI'm just really proud of him for getting that far - it's an achievement in itself. And I'm sure that he'll find his own adventures!
DeletePoor Bear. He must be so disappointed. Hopefully he'll find a great university. Send him to Teesside and I will keep an eye on him
ReplyDeleteIf he were at Teesside, I know he'd be safe with you in the area. He's currently got offers from four universities if he gets his predicted grades, so I feel comfortable that he'll be fine whatever happens.
DeleteSure Oxford is full of upper class twats! He will thrive wherever he goes! It’s Oxfords loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I couldn't agree more!
DeleteMy husband's niece went to Oxford, but said she'd never send a child of hers there. My grandson decided against Oxford and is happy doing his MSc at Leeds. Oxbridge is good for some things but not for others, so I'm sure Bear will find his place and enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! He seems to be doing fine, and I'm keeping an eye out.
