Half Asleep

I can feel my eyes shutting and my head is nodding, but I'm determined to make a post.

Last night's sleep was epically disturbed, so I'm not too surprised I'm tired. We went to feed the crows and magpies this morning. This pic doesn't do it justice.

There were so many of them around. We put out plenty of extra food. Then we sat and enjoyed the peace and quiet. There were a few good dogs being walked, but on the whole, it was a lot quieter than normal.

The roads to get there were fine but the car park itself was an icy nightmare.

Apart from that, it's been a very quiet day. I've added several inches to the scarf and we've been hunkered down in the study with all three of us keeping warm together. There was a wonderful cosiness about today.

Hugs and good health to all.

  1. It looks lovely. We've had more snow the last few days with more to come tomorrow. I don't mind the snow, but the driving is not good. It makes me really anxious. It's good that you feed the birds! I think people tend to forget about them in winter and that's when they need it the most!

    1. I love feeding the birds, and now is the most important time.

I'm not keen on snow, partly because we only get it once a year here and partly because while the advice is to take your time and leave space there are always idiots who try and speed and it's them that cause the worst of the hazard in my opinion.

      I hope you're staying warm.

  3. The crows in the forest follow us - and anyone else who carries dog treats - but they have their own territory.

    1. I've seen some serious squabbles between crows. They seem very territorial - but hugely entertaining!
