Bear is Awesome

Today has been extraordinarily quiet. I haven't even seen a rat. But bear went for a walk and, without any prompting, brought in some chocolate buttons for me. It was the biggest hug ever.

Hugs and good health to all.

  1. It's lovely when our offspring start seeming to appreciate us isn't it?
Do you think the choc buttons were an apology for the alarm/sleep thing?
Our son's in his thirties now, with a wife and son of his own, but we've always been a family who give little presents for no reason, and still do so. Our grandson turned five years old two weeks ago, and as expected, got loads of presents, but I saw a book on Friday that I knew he would enjoy, so bought it anyway. I don't have, or need an excuse to buy him books, they're educational!
This morning, our son turned up at our door with two bacon rolls from our favourite bakers, he had been swimming with grandson, and picked up some snacks for themselves on the way home, so gave us a treat too!
He has a very successful, high powered career in law, and could easily have turned into a bit of a big head, but there's not a trace of arrogance or nastiness in him. It's good to know that we raised a thoroughly nice young man! I'm very grateful that he's so grounded, pleasant, kind and, well, just a nice person! X
